Birmingham’s top summer attraction Taste of Birmingham 2010 was a great success, once again attracting visitors from all over the country. 2010 saw the fifth year of Taste of Birmingham, the world’s greatest restaurant festival; combining international cuisine, local talent and fresh produce.
The first class food festival gave visitors the opportunity to buy taster dishes from sixteen of the region’s top restaurants and take part in master classes and demonstrations hosted by top chefs from the heart of England and across Europe. Visitors also had the opportunity to wander round the producers market and sample some of the finest regional produce.
During the festival visitors had the opportunity to watch demonstrations by Will Holland, Aktar Islam from Gordon Ramsey’s F Word, Michelin-starred Luke Tipping and Richard Turner, along with other regional gastronomic stars such as David Colcombe from Opus and Andy Waters from Edmunds. The 2010 food festival also showcased the Delice network of food cities, of which Birmingham is proud to be part of. This included a line-up of top international chefs and Michelin-starred home grown talent.
